My goal as Director at Large for Lynchburg are to first get more Lynchburg PMI members to attend chapter meetings and events. To achieve this goal it would be great if we could setup a simulcast of the Roanoke monthly meeting, to a location in Lynchburg. T his would allow Lynchburg PMI members to gather together and attend the meetings and network with other PMI members, without the added travel time to Roanoke and back. Long-term it would be great to also include Lexington PMI members in the Lynchburg meetings or facilitate simulcast events in Lexington. The immediate concerns are a) to establish the location and speaker for the August PMI-SWVA meeting, to be held in Lynchburg, and we are accepting nominees, b) coordinate informal lunch gatherings of Lynchburg’s SWVA-PMI chapter members. Jeff is currently employed by CommScope Corporation who is the premier provider of cable and wireless infrastructure equipment in the world. The Forest Virginia location of CommScope employs approximately 150 persons with a main product emphasis in design and manufacturing of Drive Test Measurement and E911 location systems for cellular operators. Jeff has been active in project management as a design engineering and in IT for over 10 years. Jeff holds a Masters degree in Microwave Engineering from California State University and a Bachelors Degree in Computer Engineering from the University of South Carolina. He became a PMP in August of 2005 and has been enjoying the SWVA charter meetings ever since. Jeff, his wife Karyn and daughters, Stephanie and Jennifer have resided in Lynchburg since 1990. Jeff's enjoys playing guitar and piano in his spare time. |
