3rd Annual Habitat for Humanity Volunteer Day Updated as of 6/15/10 Event Date: Saturday, June 26th, 2010 at 8:00am CALLING ALL VOLUNTEERS ... for a day of fun and community! We need volunteers for our 3rd Volunteer Day with Habitat for Humanity of Roanoke Valley. No construction experience needed. Help us give back to the community we all love. Brian Clark, Project Manager for HFHRV, is looking forward to working with us again. Location: 1602 Salem Avenue, SW Roanoke. This is a rehab that is in the finishing stages of work. Work will include installing laminate flooring, shingles and porch framing, deck railing, and vinyl siding. We’ll start at 8am and plan to work until 2pm. Closed-toe shoes are a must. HFH will have gloves and other equipment, but people are welcome to bring their own tools, tool belts, and gloves. Coffee, water, snacks, and lunch will be provided. If you did not get your tshirt at the Tues chapter meeting, we will catch up with you at the job site. We have plenty of extra t-shirts, so if you have a neighbor or colleague with free time, bring them along!
